WELCOME

The Australasian Wire Industry Association Inc. is a non-profit organisation formed by companies involved in the manufacturing sector to support the long term development and prosperity of the wire industry throughout the Australian, New Zealand, Pacific and South East Asian region.

Member companies are involved in all aspects of the industry from wire manufacturers and raw material suppliers, wire products manufacturers, machinery suppliers and ancillary service providers.

The Association's inaugural meeting was held on the 4th March 1993 in Melbourne, Australia. The founding members were coil spring manufacturers who were members of the Spring Manufacturers Association of Australia which had been formed in 1963.

The Association has now grown to include over 130 companies involved within the wire industry throughout the region.

AWIA 2008 NATIONAL CONFERENCE

Gold Coast, 10th - 11th October 2008

Our next national conference will beheld at the 5 star Gold Coast International Hotel situated in the heart of Surfers Paradise.

Close to all the fun facilities of the Gold Coast this is a great venue for our conference and to allow members to plan a holiday with their kids.

Building on last year's excellent conference, we will be having our general seminars applicable for all of the businesses of our members plus specific seminars for the different manufacturing groups. In addition, we will have optional activities for those who wish to stay on for the rest of the weekend.
